Barbara's Journey Home
My Soul Thirsts for You
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.

It's not merely doing holy things that produces holiness! It's simply trusting a Holy God! Do you realize that God is not only nearer than you are to yourself, but that He also knows you better than you know yourself? And He loves you better than you love yourself! When I accept this, I begin to love His will. When I begin to love His will as I love my own, I begin to desire it, to trust His will, and to allow my will to be united with His. This then becomes holiness. BH

Remember, the enemy can’t destroy your purpose! He can only attempt to distract you to try and steer you off course! One of his main tactics is to get you to focus on the negative, on the storms, so that you forget to contemplate on the GREATNESS of God! It’s not obstacles that keep us…
The need for constant affirmation, even in the Kingdom of God, can become a kind of addiction. The kind that always leaves you wanting more. Jesus has called us to shift our vision outside of ourselves, to follow Him and turn our attention outward. To become the servants rather than the served. To be the…
Just because something isn’t working doesn’t mean you’re under demonic attack. It could be you’re trying to rest in who you used to be, instead of arising in who you’re meant to be. It could be that God is in the stirring of your nest! The eagle will make things uncomfortable to get the baby…
Most people’s faith is based on how they are feeling in the moment. When we are with believers and life is soaring, we are happy, full of faith. What we call faith is often reduced to being a gauge of how you are feeling about our life. When difficult things happen we say, “my faith…
And Moses went up to God, …and the LORD called to him from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore,…
