The need for constant affirmation, even in the Kingdom of God, can become a kind of addiction. The kind that always leaves you wanting more. Jesus has called us to shift our vision outside of ourselves, to follow Him and turn our attention outward. To become the servants rather than the served. To be the givers, and not just the receivers. Yes, God is Good! But His ultimate goodness is realized in our lives when we align ourselves with God’s heart, and become the servants of all. Only then will we become free from self-centered spiritual seeking, to Jesus centeredness spiritual giving. It is only then we can fulfill the great commandment Jesus gave to love one another the same way He loved us. And in seeking to fulfill His calling, and not just what you perceive as your own calling, you will find the place of fulfillment that you have until now, only had tantalizing glimpses of.
